A Serious Topic… in a Cartoon Body
With the exception of Michael Vick’s Pitbull ring, I have not seen such wide-spread media coverage for an animal-related horror story such as this in such a long time.
Thanks to the US Humane Society’s undercover investigation the world’s slaughterhouses finally have windows. In a nutshell, the investigation shows how downed cows (cows too injured or diseased to stand) are treated and slaughtered for beef consumption in the U.S. (and in the case of this particular slaughterhouse, mostly by U.S. school children.)
